Things that you and others do and provide.

Information and content you provide- We collect the information you provide when you use our services and products, this may include, when you log into your account, what content you create and share, when you update your profile and aspirations, when you complete a survey or exercise and the answers you provide. For example, if you answer and save a question on your Exercise section, we will copy and store that answer on our database.

Networking and Connections- We collect information about the members, topics, and pages you connect to and how you engage with them. For example, if you follow a Topic, we will record when you view the topic, what you view and how you engage with the Topic. Or, if you use our services for the purpose of networking with members registered as a person, we will collect information about the members you choose to connect with, what you share and when you communicate with members.

Job Matching- To achieve our aim of connecting the right professionals with the right companies and job opportunities, we will collect certain information like, what jobs you view and express interest in, which jobs you hide, the response from companies, your profile content and aspirations, the answers you give to exercises etc. For example, when you express interest in a job, we will collect the job specifications and requirement that match with your profile and aspirations information for the purpose of matching you with similar jobs, and similar type of companies, content and other people.

Third-Party products- We collect your information when you connect a third-party software with UProspr, we may collect information such as, name’s, contact details, content and information that we can associate with Member profiles. For example, if you sync/import your contacts, we will collect the names and contact details from your list and give you the option to connect or invite your contacts. We also collect the same information when another member connects their third-party software.

How you use our services and products- We collect information about how you use our products and services, information such as the type of content you view or engage with, features you use the most, member profiles you view and interact with, what features you use the most and how you use the features, the frequency and the duration of your activities. For example, when you manage your job matches, we scan and record the content on the page, the frequency, duration of your use, your activity and the action you took.

Your Activity on UProspr- We may receive data from your Activity for the purpose of administering our platform, better understanding the use of our services, protect the safety and integrity of our platform and members, and to show more relevant content. For example, when you access a company profile, we scan and record the content on the page, the frequency, duration of your use, your activity and the action you took. If you choose to access premium services only available to members with a paid subscription package you may choose to upgrade or pay a successful placement fee, we collect information about the purchase or transaction. This includes your payment information, such as your credit or debit card number and other card information, and other account and authentication information, as well as billing, shipping and contact details.

How we use your information.

Communicate- We use the information you provide to send you marketing materials, tailored content, notifications alerts, inform you about our products and services updates, keep you updated regarding our policies and terms changes and respond to you when you contact us.

Personalise - To make your experience of UProspr fun, engaging and efficient, we will use the information you provide and we collect to suggest personalised information to instant matching with opportunities, grow your network, or enhance your knowledge and professional skills. For example, we will use the information provide and we collect to instantly match you with suitable content, people, jobs, etc. Or, if you're interested in information about marketing, we may suggest content, jobs, people etc that relate to marketing.

Security- We work hard to achieve our aim of making your use of UPropsr as safe and secure as possible at all times by protecting our platform from an unethical and unlawful activity. We combine information you provide and we collect along with automated systems and advanced technology to identify and investigate any violations of our Terms and Privacy policies.

Improve and Develop our services- We will use your information to better understand how you use and interact with our services for the purpose of improving our products and services. We may conduct research to develop and audit using the information that we have for the purpose of improving our products and services and troubleshooting to make our platform safer and better.

Promote Our services- We use your information to gather and share aggregated data about our members. For example, we may use your information to generate statistics about our members with a specific job title and share that information with the rest of the members or produce reports for public viewing.

How we share your information.

Profile- We believe your career should be recognised and appreciated by everyone around the world. That is why decided to make your profile content public for everyone to enjoy, this only includes what you decide to create and share on your profile, for example, stories, experience, education, skills, location, photos, your interests, and likes etc. If your not happy with your profile privacy settings being visible to the public eye, you have the option deactivate your account.

Surveys- We use Survey tools to create quizzes, contests, exercises etc to gather your views, learn more about you and evaluate your responses. When you complete a Survey created by UProspr or a Member, we will copy, save and share your feedback. For example: if you answer and save an exercise question created by UProspr, UProspr and authorised members will have access to your exercise answers.

Partners- We may use the service of outside service providers to help us improve and tailor our services and products. When necessary, we may grant access Partners (Vendors and service providers) access to your information and content to perform tasks like audits, analytics, product development, providing customer service, technical support and security maintenance, fraud detection, process payments, research, marketing etc.

Measurement- We collect statistics and insights to produce analytics and measurement reports for the purpose of helping you, other members and partners understand how people are using and engaging with information. For example: If you post a story, we will receive information about the number of views and engagements, which members viewed and engaged with your story. We may produce aggregated demographics and other information to better understand interactions with your story.

We grant third-party partners access to your information for the purpose of providing technical infrastructure services. For example, we may use a service Google Analytics to gather insight and analyse how our products and services are used by members and visitors.

Information other members share- Other Members may choose to create and share information about you on their stories, comments or messages. For example, a member can mention you or share content about you in a story they post. If you feel uncomfortable with the information being shared about you, you can contact us on report@uprospr.com. For security reasons, please carefully consider what you what you share on UProspr because other users may store your information. For example, when you share a send a message to another member, they may download, copy or share the information with other members on UProspr or off our services.

Messages- You may use our use Private Messages function to have private conversations with other members. When you engage with others by sending or receiving a Private Messages, we may store and process your content and data. We collect information when you send, receive, or engage with messages using our Services. Please be aware that we will share the content of your messages with the people you’ve sent them to.

  1. Checks links shared in messages for malicious sites
  2. Scan for malicious content, and illicit images.
  3. Detect spam messages, and review any reported issues.
  4. Review any other content that does not follow our terms.

Disclosing your information.

We may be forced to disclose your information under certain circumstances. Please note that we don't sell any of your information to anyone and we will always impose restrictions on how the parties access and use the disclosed information. Here are the types of third parties that we share information with:

We may disclose your personal data to our insurers and/or professional advisers insofar as reasonably necessary for the purposes of obtaining or maintaining insurance coverage, managing risks, obtaining professional advice, or the establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims, whether in court proceedings or in an administrative or out-of-court procedure.

Information retention, download and deletion.

You have the choice to delete every information you create and share on the UProspr platform at any time of your choosing. You can do this by accessing the page you want to alter. For example, if you want to delete certain information you have created and shared on your profile, just click on the Profile Icon and then on the topic you want to delete. To get more guidance, please visit our Help Desk.

If you wish to permanently delete your account, please visit your Account page then click on “Permanently delete my account”. Please be warned, If you choose to permanently delete your UProspr account, we will delete information you have created and shared, such as your profile content, likes, comments, stars. Please note that you will not be able to reuse or recover this information at a later date. And, Information that others members have created and shared about you that is not part of your account will not be deleted until the other member decides to delete the information.

The duration of deleting your information will depend on the type of the data, why and how it’s gathered and processed on our system. For example. However, we may retain the deleted information as logs until we no longer require the information for reasons listed under “Legal basis for processing data” section.

You have the option to download a copy of your UProspr information in machine-readable format. If you wish to download your information, please visit your Account page then click on “Download my Information”.

Changes

We aim to be innovative, open and dynamic. We will always strive to introduce new and improved features, which may require the collection of new information. We will always be open and transparent, If we plan to collect different personal data or change how we use your data, we may modify this Privacy Policy and notify you.

Data Controllers and Contracting Parties

UProspr is a registered limited company in Scotland under registration number SC457887. The use of UPropsr and any agreements entered into through the platform are to be governed by and construed in accordance with Scottish law. The courts of Scotland are to have complete jurisdiction to settle any dispute arising with the use of the Platform.
